Scout for Life

Who am I ? It is a very common question in our daily life but have you ever real spend sometimes and think what shapes you today as a person.

I used this series to explore who am I and what shape me as a man today is Scout.

‘Scout for Life is a collection’ of 12 silver gelatin prints that explore the profound impact that scouting has had on my identity and values. Scouting has been an integral part of my life since I was five years old, providing me with opportunities for personal growth and development.

Through my series of self-portraits, I use my scout uniform and other scouting imagery to convey the ways in which scouting has shaped my identity and values. Each image represents a different stage of my scouting journey, capturing the challenges and triumphs that have contributed to my growth and development. The silver gelatin print format was chosen for its timeless quality and reflection that the images evoke.

I believe growing up and experiencing different stages of life has a significant impact on who we become as individuals. My journey in scouting has played an essential role in shaping my identity and values. It has taught me the importance of responsibility, discipline, and the value of community. It has also instilled in me a strong sense of commitment and dedication to use photograph making a positive impact on the world around me.

Through my work, I hope to inspire viewers to reflect on their own experiences and the ways in which personal journeys can shape one's identity and values. I trust that by sharing our personal experiences and journeys, we can create a more empathetic and understanding world.

Scout is not just badges or rank,

It is a certificate that I exist,
